About The Building

Volta Space is one of downtown’s newest event spaces 3,967 SF.  Formerly the A. E. Rankin and Company, the building was home to one of the largest businesses in the Cape Fear Region supplying wares to farmers and merchants. Now, after an extensive renovation, we are excited to offer this space for your event. The large-plank hardwood floors, solid wood beams, and painted brick provide both rustic and upscale setting for wedding receptions and ceremonies, social events, fundraisers, business meetings, and celebrations of all kinds.
